Momotaro The Peedie Peach Boy

This Term we have all been involved in a class 1/2 and 3 production of the Japanese Folk Story Momotaro - The Peach Boy. We have each had different roles in the play, including Choir, Ogres, Villagers, Farmers and Narrators.

We learned about the story, did some drawings and wrote summaries of the stories.

We learned the words to the songs and those of us who had speaking parts had to remember what to say and do on the stage.

We practiced lots and lots!!

We made props including a giant peach, hats, backgrounds and costumes.

Dress Rehearsal

Some of us were a little bit nervous but we really enjoyed performing the play to parents at the Japan open afternoon. It was such good fun!

National Numeracy Day - 16th May 2018

We have been learning about addition, subtraction and doubles. We are trying to get faster and more accurate when answering mental maths calculations.

For the next few weeks we will also be learning about numbers that are important to us, like in our phone numbers, address and dates of birth.

You can practice adding and subtracting using these Top marks online maths games.

We enjoyed playing hit the button and trying to beat the clock.
